The view from my rock

Heavy rain this morning so I set about doing useful jobs including making some gooseberry jam, which seems to have worked. Things brightened up a bit this afternoon and I did some heavy duty path clearing - in fact the path had disappeared and a small and very useful pick axe type thing was needed and about two metres have been restored. A swim was then needed after my exertions. Not a soul was around, the water was beautiful and I ate an apple, read some Dickens and gazed at the clouds.
