Can I have a Pyramid Ice Cream please!

This morning as I wandered through the Merchant City I could not resist taking a shot of this van parked in Brunswick Street.

icecream architecture have been commissioned by Glasgow Life Arts and Music to deliver an installation in Glasgow for the Merchant City Festival 'one year to go' celebrations for the Commonwealth Games .

This will be a three day large installation in the heart of the city entitled 'The Rope Factory' and the concept is to utilise 71 different colours of rope to represent the 71 different countries of the Commonwealth.

The Glasgow Merchant City Festival runs from the 24-28 July 2013.

Incidentally Baskin-Robbins International constructed the world's largest ice cream scoop pyramid using 3,100 scoops of ice cream in Maui, Hawaii on 18 May 2000.

The pyramid weighed 362.87 kg.and stood about 1.21 m. high for approximately 45 min. Over 80 Baskin-Robbins International executives, franchisees and flavour experts representing more than 20 countries created the 21-layer ice cream scoop pyramid. That certainly beats a Magnum.
