Sitting in the Shade in Kensington Gardens

London Day 3

Another early start and off to Little Waitrose again for our breakfast to eat al fresco in Kensington Gardens, which has one of the entry gates at the top of our Street. Waitrose have the most delicious chocolate twist pastries and that and some fruit and yogurt were eaten under the trees in the park - under the shelter of the trees as it was exceptionally high temperatures from early on. We walked up past Kensington Palace where Diana lived and where William and Kate (and now Prince George!) now stay on our way to the Princess Diana Memorial Park for children (where adults don't get in unless they have a child with them! I sat under a tree as it was SO bloody hot - no nice breeze..... Cameron enjoyed playing - the hot sun didnt seem to bother him - even with his peely wally Scottish skin!

Headed back to the hotel toshower and get ready to head off to Leicester Square as Cameron and I had a date with Matilda at 7.30! We got the tube around 2.30 and Covent Garden was buzzing with street entertainers and buskers. We sat and watched a couple and ate strawberries we got from a fruit and veg stall which Cameron said were the best he had ever tasted!! A bit of food before the show which I would say one of the best I have seen. The young girl who played Matilda was amazing!

We headed home later in the tube and again flaked out in the bed shattered - but happy!!! Very happy:-)

Another great day with the boy - such sights and people to see for a wee boy living in a small Scottish city
