The Open Top Bus Day

London Day 4

Early start again - tube from South Ken to Green Park to pick up the Open Top Hop On Hop Off bus. Included in the price for this is a River Cruise down the Thames. It was very good as there is a commentator on board talking about all the sights and the historical bits thrown in - also little bits of gossip too:-)

We jumped off at Buckingham Palace to see the Changing of the Guard (along with thousand of other tourists) and then we walked down the Mall and stopped at Trafalgar Square for some food and drink. I think the next bit was the highlight of Cameron's day as I promised him a trip to Hamleys and we walked through all seven floors of it! Afterwards we picked up the bus again and headed to Westminster to pick up the River Cruise.

It was another scorcher of a day, and we enjoyed the sights of and hearing all the informative historical dates and facts.

Managed to catch the last hour before closing of the V & A Museum, which is fabulous but not really for an 8 year old boy. This is definately one for re-visiting in the near future:-) I was most impressed by just the little bit I saw.

Out last evening meal was in a nice Italian called Little Italy where Cameron ate his food in the fastest time ever - it was delicious though.

We walked up to the Albert Memorial and sat the camera on the steps and got this little two of use picture around 9.30 in the evening.

Another fab day in London Town!
