I was going to work in the shop today and do a 9 mile walk tomorrow.... until Dave suggested climbing at Windgather Rocks, north of Buxton. I like it there so altered my plans - luckily the shop didn't know that I'd intended to go in! I thought I'd better not walk and climb, so I cancelled my place tomorrow, something I was later to regret.

There were only 3 of us in the end, Fi pulled out due to feeling poorly and new member Malcolm ended up having to work. I didn't feel like leading so Dave agreed to do it all.

It was freezing, although not literally but probably about 4°, and I'd neglected to wear longjohns oops.

We did four routes before calling it a day and I struggled a bit, even though they were really easy grades. Let's be kind to me and remember that the last climbing I did was on Hot Rock in Kalymnos!

When I got home I tried to book back on tomorrow's walk, but it was full, so I'll catch up with things at home.
