This thunderhead is probably 200 miles away to the northwest in this photograph. About 3 hours earlier we had a real "gully washer" here in the Tortolita Valley. I recorded 2 inches (50mm) of rain in about an hour. That's what the desert monsoons are capable of doing here. That's probably the storm that brought us that deluge.
