I had a BCC taken off my back this morning, I've only been waiting for 18 months so at least it's gone now. I was a bit nervous because my only experience of hospital treatment is childbirth 40 years ago, but it was fine and all over in half an hour.
Afterwards I called into the chemist to stock up with paracetamol, and a new tub of Vaseline, since the one I've got at home is donkey's years old and has been used on my walking boots at times. Not sterile! Then I called at the surgery to make an appointment to have the stitches removed in a fortnight.
Hopefully there will be no infection, I really don't want antibiotics, so no bending, stretching, reaching, exercising or sleeping on my back for two weeks. It's going to be a bit difficult but I'll be counting my blessings.
