Vision of Loveliness

It's lovely to receive flowers, not just because of the sentiments of human warmth and friendship they symbolise, but because I can see close-up the latest beautiful creations of floriculture. This is a big worldwide industry with its own specific history, evolution, biology, state-of-the-art breeding/genetics technologies and goodness knows what else.

The pink and cream roses depicted here are so luscious and delicate - only about an inch across - and must have made some horticulturist somewhere ecstatic when she/he saw the results of their efforts. So, as a photographer, I hope this picture does them justice. I added a mild paint daubs filter and cropped to present the blooms diagonally across the frame.
