Captain's Logbook

Charlie

A busy but fun day today. Mrs W and I went to pick up her parents and drive to Thatcham for a christening. The latest member of the extended family was having their first foray in public.

It was a really fun affair, the sun was shining and people we hadn't seen for ages turned up from the far flung corners of the country. It was a pretty little church and the vicar conducted the service with a light touch and it all went well without mishap.

After we all gathered in a local community hall for a wonderful spread and a good chin-wag.

I took a bunch of photos, the groups by the font, Charlie himself, the cake and the fingerprint tree. I haven't come across this before. A picture of a tree and everyone makes an ink fingerprint instead of a leaf and signs their name by it. It looked great.

An easy journey home and that's my day and the weekend is over!
