It's a common tale too often
told but though
she knew its predictable plot
that didn't soften
the blow

once she uncovered
that which she was not
supposed to know.

Until she saw them kiss
her ignorance was bliss.
She thought (Same Old)
it was her he loved.

No one wanted this.
Same Old. Same Old.
She was 'never supposed
to find out.' ' Never
supposed to get hurt.'

But here she is. Raw.
Exposed. And sensing that
she's had much more
than just her nose
rubbed in the dirt.
