The sea monster of Smoo

Mr hazelh tested out his new wetsuit equipment this morning in the inlet of Smoo cave. You can see here that it worked: Mr hazelh is modelling the hood and gloves bought yesterday :-)

This afternoon we went on a wonderful guided walk around Fairaid Head organised by Highland Council Countryside Ranger Service. The ranger talked about the geology, history and wildlife of the area, and pointed out many interesting features of the landscape, birds and flowers. The highlight of the walk for most was to view the puffins at the tip of the peninsula.

Exercise today: about 3 hours of walking (2 on the guided walk, half an hour to walk to the starting point and half an hour back again).
