Simple pleasures

Sunshine. In a beautiful place. With those you love most around you. Time to blow bubbles on the lawn. How could you possibly better that?

Well, you could drive to the outrageously beautiful Storr Loch for a picnic. Stunning scenery. We had planned to go to the fossil beach on Beareraig Bay, but took advice from some Dutch people who said the path was too slippy for the kids and no-one really minded. Another time! Even our Matthew, fossil-hunter extraordinaire, was cool about this and happy with the fossil that the Dutch family very kindly gave him.

So we took a drive around the Trotternish peninsula instead, very beautiful. In Portree we ate a decent enough meal at the Royal Hotel and had a wander round, then home.
