At the pier

More sunshine, this is too good to be true. Red now thinks Skye is like this all the time and wants to come and live here. I'll bring him back in Winter!

We took a walk down to the pier this morning, not far but it took us over 2 hours as the kids don't walk in straight lines. Very sunny, really relaxing (except when the kids went too near the edge!) and everyone enjoyed it. This picture just sums up the boys for me: Andrew has been keen to use his camera all week; George is getting down to some improvised drumming; Matthew is happily having some imaginary adventure as he leaps around the place.

This evening was rather special. We met up with some fellow blippers for a meal at the Carbost Inn. Red knows one of them in "real" life, but I'd never met any of them before and it was fun. The kids had a ball, too, as they could play on the shore, climbing rocks, collecting "precious possessions" and tying bits of old rope. Meanwhile, the Talisker distillery was hosting a reception for the participants in the Classic Malts yachting race, so the bay was full of beautiful yachts - very special.

The last day of our little holiday, and we've all had a ball. Matthew, especially, is such a nature boy and it's been great to see them all having fun without electronic gadgetry.
