Maldives Diaries- Baby Shark Doo Do Do Doo
Another day that started with swimming in the morning. Joyce has very kindly lent me her swimming cap, so I can do some proper swimming as opposed to just snorkelling and still have (reasonably) dry hair for breakfast. The weather has changed slightly and it’s been quite windy and there’s talk of a storm coming within the next few days. All three of us spent most of the day with our books. I ventured into the bar and enjoyed a cocktail while reading mine and was joined by Mumma bear a short while later. We’ve become quite keen on swimming to each other’s rooms and while Mumma bear and I were reading in the bar, Joyce snorkelled past us and climbed up the steps of our villa, only to discover we weren’t in! She soon noticed us shouting from across the bay.
Highlight of today for me was feeding time for the sharks and fish. I’ve seen lots of fish on this holiday so far but only one shark, so I was quite excited to see lots this evening. Joyce tells me they are baby black tit reef sharks (I think). They certainly were very cute- from the feeding station, on land. In all the excitement, I left my phone in the room so I have no footage of sharks time round but tomorrow is another day and more opportunities.
