Blackbird In A White Tree

"Glatt" was the word of the day.  The frost from yesterday thawed a bit and then overnight froze again.  That meant that pretty much everything was covered in ice but you couldn't see it.

It made going out this morning REALLY difficult.  If you have a knackered back like mine, the last thing you need is to be practising your can-can kicks without warning.  Absolutely horrendous.  And pretty painful too.

There was a plan to dash to the supermarket but that was abandoned - there's a little flight of stairs on the way and they would have been really treacherous - not worth the risk.

So staying in, staying warm, shutters will be closed and we can all hope for a quiet little evening into the new year.  Celebrate however you want but no fireworks please.
