Into The Unknown

Cream Crackered

We have just got home after an exhausting, hot and lovely day in London. We went to the National Portrait Gallery to see the BP Portrait Awards which was brilliant, especially a painting of two ladies having an animated chat at the hairdressers under the driers-so full of personality and humour. Then on to the British Museum for refreshments and a look around the Room of Enlightenment- full of amazing artifacts collected by travelers during the C18.
Then over the road to collect my pots from Contemporary Ceramics before ending the day having a lovely evening with Ben and Kate, with a fish supper and coffee on the South Bank.
Walking back to Waterloo we passed one of my favourite places- the Skate Board area with fantastic graffiti. Some young film makers were busy making a documentary about this much treasured amenity (which is being threatened with re- development) and so there were quite a few skaters strutting their stuff.
I took quite a few photos but like this one the best as the graphics are clear but the skater is just a blurry shadow.
Off to bed now, although I can never sleep after a day in London- it seems to charge me up .
