Ocean Boulevard, Santa Monica (tnx John Edward)

We're back in LA after our big adventure out to the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas. We drove nearly 1,950kms (roundtrip) and it was fantastic. It was the only part of our trip that we were not too sure about, but its been a real blessing and we're super thrilled we did it. Great family road trip and I even got to drive down the Las Vegas strip!!!

For those of you who don't appreciate my fascination with driving, we live in a part of HK which does not allow cars, so we don't drive at all! And I LOVE driving and really miss it, so driving in the US, on the same side of the road that I learnt on in Dubai, has been such a treat.

We got back to LA and wanted to check out 'A' beach so went to Venice Beach, which was lovely and well worth the effort and where I got this pic of the slip road on the beach. These palm trees are so silly, what are they all about???

Then a drive around to get more of a feel of LA and a cool drive down Sunset Boulevard. Now getting ready for our final US flight back to San Fran tomorrow and three days of pure relaxation.
