Flower of Scotland

It may only be a humble weed, but the thistle is the emblem of the Scottish nation.... the Flower of Scotland! Along with tartan, it's probably the most identifiable symbol of all things Scottish.

I'm practising my homework for next month's camera school assignment, which is 'floral portraiture' and I thought this one turned out pretty well, I like the colours in it.
