Where the fairies live

Well I'll go t'foot of our stairs, it's Yorkshire day (whatever that means, as Prince Charles would say). And what a grand day it is. I saw the fairies had been in the night and left their sparkles by the pond while painting the petals of this Lobelia pedunculata, a flower they must have planted in our garden because I didn't. As most people know, including Sir Arthur Conan Doyle fairies were discovered in Yorkshire.

The answer to yesterday's crossword clue, incidentally, is scrambled eggs. Bouquets to Kathymay for her dazzlingly cryptic answer.
