The 'Crazy Cage'...

The Fair's in Salisbury (not the one in the Market Square in October, but in a field on the outskirts) and in the 30 degree heat, there's a heady mixture of sun-block and diesel fumes, plus that cacophonous beat from various sources, distorted by the breeze...

Every photographer does a night-time time exposure at the Fair, of course, but I went along with the Nikkor 18-200mm lens on the camera - and promptly replaced with the Nikkor 10-24mm, which was used exclusively, as here. Using the polariser and minimum aperture got me the slow-ish shutter speed, for this handheld shot, slow enough for some blur on this ride.

An upping of contrast, darkening of those amazing clouds and sharpening to help counteract the diffraction caused by that f22 aperture, lead to this. To look in LARGE

As It's on until Saturday, I may well return for a future Blip. Why not, indeed?

Thanks to all who hoisted by red graffiti Blip of yesterday up into the Spotlight. Always appreciated, thanks!
