At Hereford: Meeting Martin...

Meeting fellow blipper, Martin Dawe and his lovely wife Anne in Hereford on one of the hottest days of the year. Martin is humble winner of the Lovers of Light competition and heading off from this steamy climate to claim his prize in the cooler Arctic Circle.

Martin defies the stereotype of 'the photographer'. Today, his camera, a phone camera. He's awaiting a DSLR for his Arctic trip, saying how he will be 'struggling to work out where the ON button is!' Martin only picked up a camera the first time 6 months ago. He shows anyone that taking a a picture is about 'seeing' rather than expensive kit. Round these parts, we say 'all the gear, no idea!' In Martins case, its 'no gear, lots of ideas!' ..... have a lovely trip Martin, a worthy winner in my book! X
