Lemon cake at Elsdon

Day three of our cycling trip through Northumberland. Again another extremely hot day and a few tough hills heading from Rothbury towards Bellingham. This was a welcome stop at the beautiful village of Elsdon near Otterburn. The pub had recently opened this fantastic coffee shop and the selection of cakes was incredible. After much deliberating we opted for the lemon cake which was so moist and tangy, and a generously large pot of coffee was just what we needed to recharge out batteries.
