Main Crop tatties

My early tatties may be flagging but the main crop are turning into a jungle.

The Swift variety that didn't look to great are showing the first signs of blight so we lifted a few this evening to check what they were like. Lot better crop than I thought, not a huge amount but some decent sized spuds and very tasty.

Now I just need to bully the kids into doing some tattie howking on Monday as I have got work to do and they need lifting fast before the blight sets in.

Maybe the thought of new tatties for tea will tempt them.
