Another link in the chain

Been researching into Rapid Prototype machines for work today. You might have seen them on the news. The only thing is that the £100 ones you see on the news are to all intents and purposes... Crap.

Industry standard machines cost in the region of £8-30k+!

This sample was built using an Objet machine using a 'Polyjet' technology where the part is built up in layers of powder, which is then cured using UV light.

The upshot is that you can build parts 'working' parts like this chain where every link is free to move but permanently connected to the link next to it.

Quite nice shopping with someone else's money!
