Life through the lens...

reach for the sky

Several plants look very similar, but I think this is cow parsnip, as it is much taller than cow parsley.

Lovely in amongst the willow herb.

I thought the blue sky and clouds made a nice picture.

We were lucky last night.
Managed to have the BBQ. No rain. Sat outside until 10pm.
Yet only a few miles away they had a thunderstorm and sheet lightening!

The French recipe turned out OK.
Verrines (small glasses to you and me!) with a layer of guacamole (avocado, chopped shallots, lemon juice, paprika, and tabasco, S&P) then a layer of crème fraiche, double cream, and chopped dill, then topped with small pieces of smoked salmon, and decorated with basil leaves. Served with small triangles of brown bread)
A very light refreshing summer starter.

Had a lie in this morning.
A bit of shopping.
Washing.
Then a lazy afternoon.

After a good night's sleep should be ready for our walk tomorrow.
7.5 miles near Harrogate.
Hope it isn't too hot! ( and no rain)
