Life through the lens...

Through the gate

Just back from our walk.
Stayed fine.
Warm. Sunny intervals, and a light breeze, which was better for walking.
Still felt hot though.

A 7.5 mile walk which started in the village of Birstwith, near Harrogate.
Included 7 bridges, which crossed over the river Nidd a few times times, and also some little becks which ran down the hills, and into the river.
Part of the walk was on the Nidderdale Way.

I've mentioned before that this is my favourite dale. It is on the eastern edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and not as well known as Wharfedale.

The river Nidd goes through the lovely little town of Pateley Bridge, and also the town of Knaresborough, before it joins the river Ouse north of York.

It was a lovely summers walk. Up hill (NotTooHigh!!) and down dale, along the river, through some woods, and past some beautiful farms, and houses, in picture postcard hamlets.
So nice to see new places we have not visited before.

Should sleep well!!

Hope you have all had a good weekend.
