Dorking

I've, um, decided to do a bit of a Church series! Better than doing a mall series I think!!

This is St. Martins Dorking, an Anglican church which is shared with the Methodists so very lively and relevant to the community. My blip is a very long shot trying to show as much as I can. There is a lot to see, so large works well. Another Church which is mentioned in the 1086 Domesday Book so it has been a place of worship for over 1,000 years! Several additions have been made, the last extension completed in 1877. It also has one of the tallest church spires in England.

Dorking is a lovely market town and we browsed a few shops on our way to the church. There's a big cycling event happening here tomorrow, so there won't be a service in this church, and we are heading in the other direction to Bournemouth to meet up with Honeycombebeach! Gs managed to map out a route on the few roads that are left open.
