Sunday is my (largely) free day, Sam and the wean being with her parents in Wexford. On my way to meet Slant that evening, the pigeons I saw down near the seawall by the old outdoor swimming baths in Dún Laoghaire sidetracked me. They were roosting beneath the peaked, slated roof of a sturdy (though slightly dilapidated) shelter. I just pointed the camera and waited for something interesting. I got a variety of winged silhouettes, the one above being, I think, the strongest. I love the strange, whirring shapes birds make in the air.
