Occasionally Focused

There Seems to be Some Confusion

Quite a big day today: I started with a 15 km run, which was rather on the excellent side; followed that up with something like 4 or 5 hours of gardening (it was only meant to be about 2 hours, with a friend we're paying for gardening work, but there's an awful lot to be done, and we lost track of time); and now am getting started on cooking dinner (kangaroo steak with kumara mash and stuffed portobello mushrooms).

I got this lovely sunrise panorama while out running, and managed a very consistent, and fast (for me) pace. And it felt great. There was an odd letterbox too. ;-)

The gardening was successful, with oceans of mulch produced from the mounds of waste that had been accumulating down the driveway, and the rest carted away. We also made the lemon tree look startlingly, scarily, attacked: we took out all dead bits, all bits growing into the centre, all bits crossing each other and rubbing off bark, and all that was growing too high. OMG the poor thing looks so bare now. :-( I am assured it will thank us with many lemons - though of course not for a while. :-(

While gardening I noticed this freesia, which appears to have got its seasons a bit confused. It's not the only one coming out either. And one of our clivias was flowering the other week.

Large here.

Dinner will be awesome.
