Rags of light

I could have posted any number of photos today. Did a stunning 9 mile run over the South Downs with my running club - sunshine, cornfields, blue butterflies, country churchyards, and best of all, at the end - cake!

We stopped for a breather at the halfway stage and I was just about to take a group shot when a couple got out of a car and offered to take the photo for me. We all got chatting and they turned out to be Graham and Hilda Heap who, as a labour of love, have devised a new long distance walking trail called the Greenwich Meridian Trail. It's 275 miles, starting in Sussex, passing through Greenwich and ending up in Yorkshire. They were out today waymarking the trail. We spent ages chatting to them and they gave us leaflets about the walk - a few of us have added it to our wish list. You can find out more at their website. Lovely people!
