Busy beach

So this is where everyone is, eh?

After a couple of lazy days on the campsite, including moving pitches to an even better location, we decided to hit the beach... jumped on the autoroute down to La Ciotat (just east of Marseille). Parked a couple of streets from the beach and found everyone else had had the same idea. However, we walked a little way along the seafront, and found a beach with slightly more space. We were also helped out by the weather - there was a lot of thunder in the air (we had thought that we would miss it at the coast, but not quite) - and many people decided not to stay on the beach. We decided that we would stay until it got too bad... it never got too bad, so we had a great time. I had a snooze (I really could get used to this holiday lark!), and we played volleyball in the sea. PJ swam all the way out to the edge of the bathing area, V and I were struggling to keep up with him at times!

It was nice being at the seaside - kind of felt like a proper holiday thing to do. But we were all glad that we weren't with so many people most of the time.

Stopped for a crepe on the way back to the car - two holiday ticks in one day - bonus!
