looong walk

So, today we decided that after the hustle and bustle of yesterday at the beach, we'd stroll to the nearest town for the local market. The map said it would be about 4km. PJ went on his bike.

We set off from the campsite at about noon (we don't do getting up early in the mornings very well), and walked through the searing heat, and made it to Oraison just as the market traders were shutting up shop for the day. So we sat in a traditional cafe and had a coffee, then walked back. It was certainly a lot cheaper than if the market had been in full swing.

The walk back was very atmospheric - there were two thunder storms, one ahead of us and one behind. And somehow we managed to walk in between them all the way back. And it was more like 5km. But it was still a little adventure.
