Climbing Aboard

While I managed to organise myself to be at our local Keighley and Worth Valley (preserved) railway station in time to catch the steam train, I couldn’t quite manage to get the weather right. It was very ‘iffy’, with dull skies and intermittent spots of rain on and off all day long. But these trains run to their scheduled timetable no matter what the weather is like, and here the traindriver is climbing aboard the big 90733 loco, (War Department (WD) 2 – 8 – 0 locomotive, built January 1945 by the Vulcan Foundry), after doing his checks, ready to start the journey.
