The Vijfhoek

The 'Vijfhoek' - dutch for Pentagon - is an area in Haarlem with small houses and streets.

It's a pretty popular place to live because of it's picture perfect looks, but the house prices are still severely over rated despite the recession on the house market.

Still it's a nice walk through the streets over there. I like this street very much as it has a lot of green and Chinese lanterns hanging and illuminating the the facades over the full length.

Here at the corner is a nice cheese fondu restaurant called 'In 't Goede Uur' and the terrace is bathing in the sunlight this afternoon.

I kind of like the shadow on the building revealing the step shaped facade of the building I'm leaning on to shoot this stitched pano.

p.s. As Ingeborg reminded me... viewing 'Large' is so much nicer!
