Stylish fly

I thought this fly was really quite stylish and somehow aware that it was posing on the most striking background to set off its wonderful blue-green body. I also thought it might be relatively easy to identify from such a close up. However, as usual I find I haven't quite captured the key features I need for an accurate ID. Still, it's a beautiful insect.
