Waiting for a Breeze

In the organised chaos of the Cowes Week Yacht Haven much of the morning was spent waiting around for the slightest hint of a breeze so that they could go racing.

Several of the Superyachts were drifting around in the Solent hoping that some sea breezes would pick up enough to get them under way until at 2PM the race officials abandoned the day without one starting cannon being fired.

On shore thousands of spectators were enjoying the warm sunshine of a beautiful summers day watching the yachts drift around on the tide.

Despite the millions of pounds of technology on display-no wind ,no sailing.
