"The Fury Of The Sea"...

...We are in South Australia for a few more days and holidaying around the place of my birth with our son David..he was also born in the same town as I was, not far from here..

..My family used to come along this coastline near Edithburgh, my brother especially loved his fishing and was indeed fearless.. The area along here is great for rock fishing - but in selected areas naturally...not that we've been in recent years either..

...A few ships unfortunately came to grief along this coastline many years ago, and one in particular sadly took the lives of 42 sailors, ship's crew, in 1909..they are buried in Edithburgh, not far away, not in the land of their birth..

...We love coming along here and some Australians will know of it's fury, but ofcourse there are worse seas along the coastlines than what is featured right here..and just around the bend a little there is a lovely little beach, where we did used to go to quite often, a long way down from the cliff top here - it doesn't look far down here does it - but it is really about 30-40ft, and further around, the cliffs are even higher...and ofcourse we can never really capture the moment of the day, with the sounds of the restless sea crashing onto the rocks, the wind in our ears, and the odd seabird flying around...

...It is one area in South Australia which we do miss coming to, but then, it shall always be there should we choose to visit again and watch the Fury Of The Sea in action...forever the restless sea..
