Sense of Purpose

All shook up

Y'all can stop the speculations now - Mr. Presley is alive and doing very well. He seemed to enjoy himself in Ilosaarirock.

From what I remember we had a good time on Saturday, although we chose the wrong ATMs and had to drive to a neighbouring municipality to draw out money before going to the festival area.
I saw the following artists:

Stam1na: We missed the first couple of songs but it's not like I haven't seen them six times before. Once again they delivered a strong performance with a lot of energy and humour.

Don Johnson Big Band: Didn't really pay that much attention to their gig, but I guess it fitted the sunshine and the summery atmosphere...

The Dillinger Escape Plan: Plenty of skill, innovation and energy, although the music is certainly not everyone's cup of tea.

Children of Bodom: The Finnish extreme metal exports dropped by and delivered a typically energetic gig. Nothing earth-shattering, but entertaining nonetheless.

ISIS: W.O.W. Absolutely amazing performance! One of the best, if not the best, gigs I have ever had a pleasure to witness. I bought three of their albums on Monday before heading home.

PMMP: This act is made for a main stage of a Finnish rock festival, whether some people like them or not. The songs are catchy, the pop/rock sound is spacey and the performance is always energetic. Excellent gig, although coming from the ISIS gig, there was no way this could've topped it.

Afterwards we went to a bar again...
