Foggy Magnolia

This morning we woke up to some unexpected fog, then I noticed that the magnolia tree I can see from our living room window is starting to flower.

Late night last night as I set then sent the homework for the two students I had yesterday evening. I finished around 10pm. One of my students had been absent for a month, as she was on a long holiday in Thailand. She bought me a present, a small box of Thai tea. That was really kind of her to do that. I'll have to try it.

My other student is a bit frustrated that she struggles remember things I'm teaching her. We had a bit of a heart to heart (often I feel like I'm more a counsellor than a teacher - in the past people have felt they can share their personal issues with me, no idea why) and she said she is waiting to see a therapist about her memory issues.
Could also be stress, as she has been a child minder for 20 years. I know that when I was a home Dad I was totally stressed out a lot of the time.

It was Mme MB's birthday yesterday. She had a few presents, but didn't want any fuss. Like inviting friends round to celebrate. The 4 of us will go to a restaurant instead. It makes me feel sad that she doesn't want to think about herself for a change.
