The Linn

Staying in East Linton, south of Edinburgh, whilst we are decorating my daughter's flat. A delightful little town, situated on the River Tyne.
Originally called Linton after the linn or waterfall in the photograph.
The town grew up around the watermill on the site and the East was added to the name when the railway arrived, to distinguish it from West Linton in Peebleshire.
A beautiful spot this was right outside our hotel.
Unfortunately we never had time to explore further afield.
