The Late Bloomers
This was last night (so I'm cheating a bit).
So last night we went off to Le Plessis Paté to see a show there called "Scotland" by a trio of clown/mime artists called "The Late Bloomers". Bascially with little dialogue they did sketches of Scottish stereotypes, with a bit of audience participation.
They were really funny. At the moment they are on a tour of France and aren't actually Scottish, they are from the left : Swedish, Australian and English. The Australian is very convincing and all 3 have excellent timing.
On the way out of the venue, they were there to shake people's hands.
One of their jokes was about the English, in that the one in the middle called them "English bastards". So when we left, I said to them (in English) that their show was excellent. The bearded one said "Oh so you are the English bastard then?" Which we all laughed about... So I started singing "God save out gracious King" as I walked by - which they found funny.
Then before going through the door, we had a quick exchange with the one on the right. He told us he was from London and I said I'm from Leicester and have been in France 28 years. Perhaps they don't get so many British natives watching their show in France.
So this morning 3 lessons. I had overslept a little bit this morning and I was feeling tired after last night. Finished sending the homework at 4pm - so the weekend has finally started.
