Look what I've got!

What a funny kookaburra!

I could see a kookie sitting in the bare branches of the pecan nut tree, right down at the bottom of the garden, and he and I both kept on looking to the ground beneath the tree. There was a scratching and scuffling sound, so I imagined I would see a bush turkey scratching around in the undergrowth.

No, not a bush turkey, but a very entertained kookaburra with a pine cone! He was flinging the cone round, chasing after it, then bashing the dickens out of it....it's a wonder the cone is still in one piece!

The weather has been lovely this week, so hope it continues throughout the weekend so as I can get into a spot of gardening.
