Armchair Adventuring

This week's reading is The Secret Adversary, Agatha Christie's second novel. It's a light-hearted diversion, with a plot so hopelessly cretinous that even Tom Clancy would think twice before writing it (though he might approve of Aggie's well thought out political stance in the novel; that the Labour Party is controlled by the Bolsheviks in Russia, who in turn are run by a Flemingesque international super-villain called "Mr Brown").

But nevertheless, it was kind of her to dedicate the book to those of us who'd like a bit of adventure; even if it's a slightly moronic escapade.
