Agog

We set off for town
but no sooner had we got going
than we were slowing
down.

We were in a stream
of traffic
that was far from flowing.

As the day took a dive
I experienced a sinking feeling
but soon found myself thinking
that I needed to make positive
use of my time –

I rose to the surface and started a blog
(an online travelogue)

I had a snog

I turned on the radio
and tuned in to a poetry prog

I had another snog
(tongues this time)

Then noticed, finally,
(much to my surprise)
that what was floating
there, before my eyes,
was, in fact,

a big yellow expensive looking frog.

Grinning!

I was agog.

Had a snog.
(With my driver.
Not the frog).

Big Yellow
