That man. That child.

He’d be gripping the kid’s hand
if he was trying to drag her/him away.

It must be ok.

They’ll probably come right in,
in a minute.

Maybe mum’s in here already?
Perhaps trying on a dress
or in a toy shop
waiting for them to join her.

That’s it. She’s spotted something.
It’s her child’s birthday
and she’s got her eye
on a likely gift.

Yes, nothing to worry about.
The kid’s in for a pleasant surprise.
