Utrecht

Utrecht is the fourth largest city in the Netherlands and is a noted university town. 

Mrs CBL and I flew into Amsterdam this morning. It is a short 90 minute fight followed by a 30 minute train journey to reach Utrecht.   

Like Amsterdam, Utrecht has a series of canals which circumnavigate the old town.  Our plan was to see the city in the afternoon by taking a canal tour.  It was a beautiful day with blue skies and a temperature of 18°C!

The canal tour was very interesting, enjoyable and relaxing, this is because the  canal is quite narrow so all the boats travel very slowly.
