Busy day!
I sold something else on Vinted, an M&S white linen top I've hardly worn in the seven years (roughly) since I bought it. I'm not sure why I haven't worn it but it might as well go... so I packaged it up and called at a local shop to send it off. Next stop The Climbing Unit, where I only lasted 45 minutes but I'm happy to blame yesterday's walk for that. On the way out I got my car washed by Chadds Hand Carwash - I'd asked the blokes at The Unit if they'd used them, and they confirmed the wash was fine so... Having my car washed by anyone other than myself is alien to me, it may not happen again, but they did a good job and I enjoyed chatting to the young woman sat waiting next to me. I asked the boss what his nationality was? Kurdish! he said and others were Pakistani, Iraqi, Polish.... Excellent! My views on immigration are that we are now full, but great to see this operation working hard and, I hope, succeeding.
Home for lunch and then a drive to Julie's house in Alvaston to join her and Margot for a walk (extra). We went a roundabout route in the grounds of Elvaston Castle and the world was put to rights - if only - before we ended at Julie's for a cuppa in the garden. The main is apparently an area for bikes to do their thing.
I made borscht for my dinner tonight, having found some cooked chunks of beef in the freezer yesterday. More use of the reduced Asda veg! It was delicious and there are three portions for the freezer.
