Wrist friend out and about .

We three met on a hospital ward as we awaited having our wrists wired having slipped on ice ( courtesy of the beast from the east) . We struck up a friendship and meet regularly to walk and talk together sharing life’s ups and downs.
Two teachers and a nurse , 3 children apiece and now grandchildren too . We always come away from our time together feeling blessed to have met ,
Today we walked a route around Pleasington not too far from where I live . We had a picnic halfway round and shared a riverside bench with two chaps , one whose life is dedicated to cycling around the world the other whose life is taken up with walking long distance footpaths raising money for veterans ( he is one himself) The conversation over lunch was very interesting.
Now we are going to pop next door to see our neighbours who are cooking us dinner !
