It doesn’t fit, Archie!
Today I was on a mission... My fairly old Bose speaker has refused to stay connected to the WiFi for quite some time... I improvised with the wee Roberts radio when Anne and Bob were here, but that's not a long term solution. This old speaker has a great sound, and is hidden away. I did not want to give up on it.
I knew that a Bose shop was just down the road in Tolcross, so off Archie and I went. A very nice young man tried to help, but all the things he suggested, I'd already done, as the website was helpful. He did show me a possible new one, should it not work out...
Then we popped in to a wee bakery that I've heard mentioned lots of times - Babka. Very cute, with three little Formica topped tables. A flat white (although a bit of a misnomer) and a very large cinnamon bun for £5 - a bargain. On the way back we came across a wee discarded bike helmet, and Archie insisted on trying it on... But it pushed his eyebrows down so that he couldn't see, so no use at all, and we left it there.
I took the speaker in to the kitchen and spent the rest of the morning trying this and that, repeatedly resetting to factory settings, had an online chat to someone who said I had to connect to a computer and download the app update. I don't have access to a computer. The only other suggestion was to send it in for repair...
But I kept going, and eventually came across a string of processes I hadn't done before, and... I added in the 'new' speaker... and BINGO! Surround sound!! What joy. I even re-joined Amazon Prime to access their music again.
I made a Jamie air fryer meal tonight. JR set all the things ingredients out for me. It was, loosely, 'herb stuffed salmon & red pepper salsa'. I didn't do his tinned potatoes, just roastie ones. Bloomin' nice! (Extra)
