4 Denholm Street

Today's the day  . . . . . . . to remember 

I was sent this picture today by my cousin Anne - and it really has set me thinking.

It's the house at 4 Denholm Street, Greenock - and it's where I lived with my family from 1953 until 1957 - or possibly 1958.  Cousin Anne, who is a little older than me, was in Greenock today.  She could remember coming to visit us at that house and she thought I might like to see what it looks like now.  

And, of course, I was delighted to see it looking well kept and pretty much the way I remember it.  In fact, I could remember exactly how it was inside and where the rooms were.  That bay window to the left of the front door was the room where I slept - with my sister and brother.

Such a long time ago - but just as if it were yesterday . . . . . . . !
